Content-Aware Fill with more precision
Supports a wide variety of video clips, including clips with light that changes continuously over time through Lighting Correction technology in Content-Aware Fill. This updated feature will remove moving objects through a range of different light intensities.
In the previous version, the Content-Aware Fill feature still maintains the original frame and does not handle the changing light, so it accidentally creates unreal shadows. When you turn on the light processing option, they will be more vivid and natural.

Enhancing the EXR . process
You can now import EXR files (OpenEXR Bitmap) as a work in After Effects to make them process faster. Importing EXR files allows you to apply multiple effects to component layers without going through the first complicated setup process. You can work with each layer and apply effects to make the renderings more natural in their environment. Improved performance also makes processing large files more responsive.
Faster shaping
After Effects 2023 improves responsiveness when handling shapes to speed up repetitive creative steps. Improved access to group controls also makes it easier to navigate and manage large numbers of shapes.
Improves overall performance on projects containing multiple shape layers
Users can now right-click to create or ungroup shape layers. Select multiple shapes in the Timeline panel, right click and select group/ungroup shapes. Another option to select multiple shapes in the preview window is to right click and from the Mask and Shape path use Group/Ungroup .
Upgrade graphics and text
Menu Control Dropdown Effect
When creating Motion Graphics templates, you can now use the Dropdown Menu Control effect to append the properties of a layer in your project to a drop-down list. You can now share sliders and checkboxes as editable controls, allowing others to change their properties in Premiere Pro.
Edit text attributes with expressions
For expressions that don’t change over time, After Effects applies them to the entire frame at once with up to 40% faster processing speed. Expressions applied to the main property also run significantly faster.
Extended format support and better playback
Format support includes Canon XF-HEVC along with two legacy formats. Animate with delta and MJPEG frames. Performance improvements for H.265 HD/UHD, HEVC HD/UHD, 10-bit ProRes files.
Other Upgrades
- Cinema 4D Lite R21 includes caret and bevel tools for creating text and spline functions. The new high-performance noise reduction filter improves image quality and reduces rendering times.
- Remove unwanted objects faster with Content-Aware Fill, now twice the speed and using only half the memory than before.
